Always try to get out the Tahoe Tetons (Sierra Buttes) 1-2x a winter. Hidden gem 1hr drive North of Truckee, CA in the Sierra Nevada.

Camped the night in the Bassets Station overnight parking lot. Kona was bundled like a sardine in a can.

Trail is approx 3.5mile from Bassets Station to inlet of Upper Sardine Lake.
First 1/2 mile of trail was strapping in and out / walking on dirt. ON JANUARY 30th!

Weather warmed up and by mid day I had taken my gear off down to just a t-shirt.
Overall it was a great 2 day get away and any day hiking on the trail is a good day.
